Villa Bengawan is in the village of Pererenan in the broader Canggu area. There are many new upmarket cafes, restaurants, bars and boutiques within easy walking distance of the villa. Highlights include Mostly, Pescado, Brunch Club, Le Blon, Shelter, Red Gunpower, Woods, Bar Vera, Shady Fox, Almond and Ettore Gelato.

Villa Bengawan is in the village of Pererenan in the Canggu area. Crossing the River Pangi (turn left on leaving the villa, then left again) there are rice fields, sunset views, rugged coastline and beaches and the general quiet hum of Balinese village life. This area is perfect for a walk, jog or cycle along quiet roads without the fear of traffic.
To reach Pererenan Beach and Echo Beach, turn right from the villa, cross the road with Mostly on your left, and follow a quiet road for less than a kilometre to arrive at the beach, famous among surfers for its powerful breaks and perfect for watching spectacular sunsets. The popular La Brisa beach club, which hosts a popular market each Sunday, is at the end of the promenade.
